Fall 2025

When:

  • In-person, Tuesdays 10:00am - 11:00am 
  • Online Mondays 8:00pm-9:00pm*

What: Play games, chat, and practice speaking and listening in the Spanish Conversation Group.

Who: Students and members of the community are welcome for the in-person group. Only FCC Students may attend the online group.  All levels welcome.

*Current FCC students have the option to attend the online Spanish Conversation Group. The online group is by appointment only, Mondays at 8:00pm. Spanish Online Tutoring Directions

How to Schedule/Join the Online Spanish Conversation Group

To make an appointment for  the online Spanish Conversation Group:

(Note: appointments are only necessary for the online session of the group; the in-person session is drop-in.)

Login to Blackboard

  • Go to your course page
  • Select "Online Tutoring" in the menu
  • Select “Start Now” under FCC
  • Select “Book Now” under Schedule or Cancel a FCC Tutoring Appointment
  • Select "Introductory Spanish" and then "Group Spanish Assistance" from the drop-down menus.
  • Select "No preference" for the tutor, and then select days on the calendar to see the available times.
  • You will receive an email confirming your appointment 

To join the Spanish Conversation Group

Login to Blackboard 

  • Go to your course page
  • Select "Online Tutoring" in the left-hand menu
  • Select "Assist" on the left-hand menu

  • Under "Learning Centers and Tutoring," click "Try it Out"

  • Select “Start Now” on the left FCC side of the page 
  • Select “Join Now” on the Join ASL or Spanish Group Tutoring Session (4th option down NOT the second option which is only for individual sessions not ASL)
  • When the tutor has opened the room, you will see the option to join appear
  • Select "Join" and enjoy your session

How on-campus Spanish tutoring works: 

  • Drop in to the Tutoring & Writing Center, L226 of Linganore Hall
    • Introductory Level Spanish:
      • Mondays, 9:00am-3:00pm*
      • Tuesdays, 9:00am- 9:45am*, 11:00am - 2:00pm*
      • Wednesdays, 9:00am - 2:30pm*
      • Thursdays, 9:00am - 2:00pm*
      • Fridays, 11:00am - 2:00pm*
    • Intermediate Level Spanish:
      • Mondays, 9:00am- 2:00pm*
      • Tuesdays, 9:00am- 9:45*, 11:00am - 2:00pm*
      • Wednesdays, 9:00am-10:45am*, 12:00pm -2:00pm*
      • Thursdays, 9:00am-2:00pm*
    • No appointment needed.
  • Students will receive an email confirmation of their session by the end of that day from care@thinkingstorm.com. Those who need proof of session completion are responsible for forwarding this e-mail record of their session to their professor.

*Tutoring sessions end 10 minutes before the end of each time range
