What's on the Test?

The GED Science section tests learners' skills in reading, math, and critical thinking through scientific concepts. Learners are not required to memorize scientific information, but will be asked to process scientific concepts in real-world situations.

  • Designing and Interpreting Science Experiments
  • Using Numbers and Graphics in Science
Format of the Test
  • On-screen calculator and reference sheet
  • Questions types include multiple choice, drag and drop, fill-in-the-blank, select an area, and drop down.
Time to Take the Test
  • 90 minutes
  • Includes 2 minutes of instruction and final review
  • No break
