Creating a Resume in Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word offers numerous templates to help you format your resume automatically. To get to these templates:

  • Open Microsoft Word
  • Click on the "File" tab in the upper-left corner
  • Select "New"
  • Under the " Templates" section, double-click on "Resumes and CVs"
  • Double-click on the "Basic resumes" folder
  • From the list of resume templates, double-click on the one you would like to use.
  • Your resume template will open as a new document.
